The most common mental disorder in the world.

It’s not depression, it’s not anxiety and its not homosexuality.. It’s religion.

You do not inherit this disorder from your parents in a genetic sense. Parents force it onto their children from a very young age in much the same way as their parents abused them. Somehow this perpetual cycle of child abuse must be stopped.

People just accept what they have been raised to believe. They put no effort in to understand other religions before they make their decision. You’d think that the risk of getting it wrong, and therefore being tortured in hell for the rest of eternity would encourage people to actually make sure that they have chosen the right religion. The overwhelming majority of religious people only believe in it because they have been brainwashed during childhood.

Raising your child in religious ideology doesn’t uphold moral decency. Marilyn Manson was raised as a Christian. His father was a Catholic and his mother was Episcopalian. He even attended Heritage Christian School. Now he rams dildos up his bum at concerts and then throws them out into the crowd. Good job Mum and Dad.

Millions of people attend church every Sunday and then go back to their sinful lives and never attempt to change the way they live. They only pay attention to the parts of the bible that suit them and they dismiss all other parts that might not fit exactly into our busy society today.

Isaiah 66:17 says “…those who eat the flesh of pigs and rats and other abominable things—they will meet their end together,” declares the LORD. Nowadays, Christians explain that God only told people not to eat pigs because they had diseases in them at the time and were dangerous to eat. So Christians allow themselves to eat pigs now because they are safe to eat at the present time. They have no problems dismissing this part of the bible because it doesn’t fit with the society in which they live in today.

George bush, who claims to be Christian, wages “war on terror” (Iraq) after the twin towers collapse… I thought Christians were meant to turn the other cheek. I think religious people have got it all wrong. If you claim to be religious, I suggest you start to live like it and stop acting like you’re so righteous. You’re nothing but a bunch of hypocrites and fakes.

My main inspiration to write this came from my brother. He goes to church like 3 times a week and hes a homosexual. It’s disgraceful.

LOL an entertaining blog pete. Keep it up.
    BTW, I couldn’t agree more.

I also find it funny how everyone asks God for so much on a Sunday, his DAY OFF! A bit rude, don’t you think?

  4. Pete says:

Haha so true. I’ve never thought of it like that before.

There are so many contradictions it’s not funny. Consider catholic hospitals. Hospitals have a responsibility which requires them to be ready for emergencies 24/7. This would land them in work every Sunday. I’m pretty sure the bible says somewhere about he who does work on the Sabbath shall be put to death, am I right?
And then they’re strictly against abortions AND homosexuals. Homosexuals, a group of people 100% guaranteed never to have an abortion and they’re just tossing em away. You’d think they’d make natural allies :(
Hmm shall we continue? Yes OK this is fun. According to the bible the earth is only about 6500 years old. I think when Richard Dawkins asked some religious extremist to explain dinosaur fossils that were tens of thousands of years old, the religious chobo claimed that God put them there to test our faith. It’s pretty sad what these people will say to try and protect their vaunted religion.
BUT! There do exist some relevant arguments for religion, it’s just a shame that they’re always said while holding out a collection plate. It does not bode well.
